KS-Development has long been committed to digitalization, making it its strong advantage by using ASCON and Renga Software products. Thanks to Digit, the company wins on tender sites and completes large, diverse projects on time with a compact team of only 35 designers. The transition to BIM technologies has become a strategic task for the company, which has made it possible to improve the quality of projects and minimize errors related to the human factor.

The company has always understood that a Russian software product is a stable and reliable tool. When ks-Development was faced with the question of which BIM system to choose, the company compiled a table in which, based on the test results, the advantages and disadvantages of software packages available for purchase with a certificate of availability of licenses were reflected. As a result of a thorough analysis, the choice was made in favor of Renga. For the purposes of teamwork on projects, the company has implemented Pilot-ICE Enterprise.
Today, Renga helps to complete the full BIM cycle at the design stage: not just a beautiful 3D picture is made here, but drawings and specifications are displayed, and attribute information is added to the object. KS-Development specialists are working on architectural and design solutions at Renga, heating, water supply/sanitation and ventilation, including smoke protection. Used in company and collaboration, this is a unique functionality that was developed at rengasoftware with grant support from RFRIT.
“It is very expensive for us that KS-Development carries out cool and diverse projects at Renga. As developers of a BIM system, looking at the final models of such buildings, we understand that our work is important and beneficial. Analyzing the feedback from the company’s specialists, I want to draw your attention to the fact that the Renga BIM system is still designed for designing buildings and everything inside it. It is recommended to develop the master plan in specialized systems, for example, in CREDO.
Of course, we understand the desire of users to work with the earth and external engineering networks in one program. But it is very difficult to implement this in one system. The main tasks of the master plan are not just in the formation of the toposurface, but broader and deeper, as well as the tasks of external networks. But we are thinking about such requests.
In general, in my opinion, the experience gained by KS-Development while working in BIM is invaluable. We are glad that they are open and ready to share their knowledge with other participants in the construction and investment market, for which we thank them very much,” comments Maxim shibanov, Head of Marketing at Renga Software.
So what is the real, and not the illusory result of the introduction of BIM technology, what to do if the licenses of foreign software were revoked overnight, by giving feedback to the program developer on how to resist a hacker attack – about this and much more in a long interview with the Deputy General Director of KS-development LLC by Daniil Manotskov at the link.
