Over the past six months, accidents involving people falling from the Voroshilovsky Bridge have been involved in Rostov. In October, an elderly woman fell from the structure, and in July and April, two young men ended up in the water, falling from a height of 32 meters. There are more than one bridge in the Rostov region where accidents happen every year. The statistics are getting sadder every year. Daniil Manotskov, General Director of the ks-Development project company, named measures that will help prevent such situations.
The saddest fame is at Voroshilovsky Bridge. It was built in 1965 to connect the left and right banks of the Don, Rostov and Bataysk. Unfortunately, residents of Rostov come to the bridge not only to take beautiful photos with a view of the Don.
The height of the fence on the bridge is about 1.2 meters, — says the CEO of the project company. – To reduce the number of accidents, the fence should be increased to approximately three meters in height. The fence should be a solid wall, without any steps, so that it is not possible to climb over.
In addition to increasing the height of the fence, it is also necessary to set up a video recording mode for the object, taking into account constant monitoring. There are cameras at the ferry now, but they are installed as video recorders.
A control system is simply necessary at such facilities,” said Daniil Manotskov. – Cameras would be appropriate here, which would not confirm the emergency, but prevent it. It would also be useful to constantly bypass the guards, just in order to prevent such cases.
